Olive calls Ned and Emerson to solve a suspicious suicide case of a nun that she thinks was actually murdered. Meanwhile, Chuck tried to think about what she should do with her life after leaving the pie maker.
Mrs Heaps hired Emerson to find her daughter who ran away and the trail leads to a circus surrounded by murder in a form of several dead clowns. While that happens, Chuck and Ned try to settle their difference in the complicated relationship and Chuck decides to stay a little longer at the nunnery.
Chuck goes undercover at a honey based cosmetic company disguised as a “Bee Girl” after one of their models was murdered. She discovered that their office politics between the founder and the owner are killer (literally). Meanwhile, Ned gets annoyed by Chucks growing independence and her will to move out of their apartment.
After the disappearance of Chuck when Ned discovered her connection to her father’s death, he finds her with Olive but she still refuses to go back home with him. Meanwhile, Emmerson and Ned are trying to investigate how an ajuster from Uber-Life insurance agency has died.
The trio investigate the death of Tony DiNapoli who died by being strangled by a woman. When Ned revives the man, he claims that Burly Bruce killed him through the hands of his girl friend who was a RealDoll. Also, Ned’s pie business doesn’t seem to go well due to competition from a Candy Store which opened nearby.
The trio was called in to investigate a case of Anita who was an assistant to the olfactory scientist and novelist Napoleon Lenez. Anita died by an explosion from a scratch and sniff book which was supposed to be used by Napoleon Lenez. All the evidence leads to Oscar Vibenius who was a former lab partner of Napoleon.
One of recent murder victims tells Ned that he was killed by his wife after she gave him coffee but the man forgets to tell Ned that he is a Polygamist which makes the investigation more difficult. Ned also develops a physical relationship with Olive to complement the emotional relationship that he has with Chuck.
This is a Halloween episode. Olive and Emmerson are trying to find “The Ghost” who kept killing the jockeys at the old arena where Olive herself used to race in a former jockey team. Ned and Chuck will be helping them to solve this mystery.
A plane crash into an apartment building makes Ned wonder if the pilot committed suicide and chuck finds herself drawn to Dash Mihok, who is the only survivor of that crash. Also, a wounded messenger pigeon is taken to the aunt for help by Olive.
Chuck and Ned speak to Lawrence Schatz who died one minute after Ned revived Chuck. Meanwhile, Olive becomes find out about Chuck’s plan which is about her unrequited lovers love.
